How the scores work

Every pour is scored on three things β€” Nose, Palate, and Finish β€” each on a 1–10 scale. Those roll up into the Score out of 100, weighted so the palate carries the most and the nose the least:

Overall = Nose Γ— 2.5 + Palate Γ— 4.5 + Finish Γ— 3.0  (a perfect 10/10/10 = 100)

Separately, Value rates quality for the money β€” a $30 bottle can out-value a $300 one.
